009 Re:Cyborg follows a group of nine cyborgs, each of them created by a shadowy organization for use as weapons against humanity. The group turns on their creators to protect the population instead, using the powers given them to fight their creators.

After discovering the existence of demons in Tokyo, the original 00 Cyborg crew led by Dr. Gilmore find themselves in conflict with Devilman, a strong demon believed to be in league with the war-profiteering terrorist organization, Black Ghost. Meanwhile, a bigger threat emerges when Dr. Adams, a Black Ghost scientist unleashes his new line of high-teen 00 Cyborg models against 009 and his friends.

在2011年9月便大肆宣传将有新作品的神山健治，在昨晚的发布会上正式公布了。说起神山监督，当然就不能不提他的超代表作「攻壳机动队」系列，而且在09年同様由他监督的「东之尹甸」同样拥有很好的口碑。那么，今次神山监督又会为我们带来什么新作品? 答案就是这部新作剧场版「009 RE:CYBORG(RE：人造人009)」，并且预计于2012年秋季上映。剧场版名字中的CYBORG是人造人的意思，而009则是代表著剧中的九位人造人的第九位成员的编号。为什么会知道? 因为这部「009 RE:CYBORG」正是以一代的大漫画家石之森章太郎的科幻代表作「人造人009」蓝本，运动现今先进的3DCGI技术重新制作。「人造人009」是1964年开始连载的作品，而且还推出了TV动画及剧场版各上部，绝对是上一代人的回忆之作。至于这次的剧场版故事到底是把当年的「人造人009」精华再以3DCGI技术重现，还是神山监督带领的制作班底重新创作一个新故事单员则是未知之数，但可以肯定的是，这次的「009 RE:CYBORG」绝对是神山监督向石之森章太郎致敬的作品了。

Ex-DEA agent Jack receives an emergency message from his brother Phillip, whose team was ambushed on the Caribbean island of St. Keith. Jack goes to St. Keith to find his brother, who has been turned into a cyborg by the drug runner he was after.

Jack, a cop, loses his partner to a crazed terrorist during a hostage rescue sending the man to death row. What Jack doesn't know is that the terrorist will be taken and turned into a cyborg for the "Anti-Terrorist Group".

In an alternate world, the Cold War has continued to persist for 140 years. As a result, the world was divided into two factions: the West Block, and the East Block. As the Cold War drags on, the tension between the two factions, as well as the amount of nuclear weapons they have, rise. Mylene Hoffman is a female cyborg who is a spy for the West Block. Together with three other agents, Mylene partakes in various missions issued by her superiors.
